ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
Dhukh Bhanjan Thaeraa Naam Jee Dhukh Bhanjan Thaeraa Naam ||
दुख भंजनु तेरा नामु जी दुख भंजनु तेरा नामु ॥
The Destroyer of sorrow is Your Name, Lord; the Destroyer of sorrow is Your Name.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਆਰਾਧੀਐ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

आठ पहर आराधीऐ पूरन सतिगुर गिआनु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

ਜਿਤੁ ਘਟਿ ਵਸੈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਸੋਈ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਥਾਉ ॥
Jith Ghatt Vasai Paarabreham Soee Suhaavaa Thhaao ||
जितु घटि वसै पारब्रहमु सोई सुहावा थाउ ॥
That heart, in which the Supreme Lord God abides, is the most beautiful place.
ਜਮ ਕੰਕਰੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਰਸਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥੧॥
Jam Kankar Naerr N Aavee Rasanaa Har Gun Gaao ||1||
जम कंकरु नेड़ि न आवई रसना हरि गुण गाउ ॥१॥
The Messenger of Death does not even approach those who chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord with the tongue. ||1||
ਸੇਵਾ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਨ ਜਾਣੀਆ ਨਾ ਜਾਪੈ ਆਰਾਧਿ ॥
Saevaa Surath N Jaaneeaa Naa Jaapai Aaraadhh ||
सेवा सुरति न जाणीआ ना जापै आराधि ॥
I have not understood the wisdom of serving Him, nor have I worshipped Him in meditation.
ਓਟ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਗਜੀਵਨਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ॥੨॥
Outt Thaeree Jagajeevanaa Maerae Thaakur Agam Agaadhh ||2||
ओट तेरी जगजीवना मेरे ठाकुर अगम अगाधि ॥२॥
You are my Support, O Life of the World; O my Lord and Master, Inaccessible and Incomprehensible. ||2||
ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਗੁਸਾਈਆ ਨਠੇ ਸੋਗ ਸੰਤਾਪ ॥
Bheae Kirapaal Gusaaeeaa Nathae Sog Santhaap ||
भए क्रिपाल गुसाईआ नठे सोग संताप ॥
When the Lord of the Universe became merciful, sorrow and suffering departed.
ਤਤੀ ਵਾਉ ਨ ਲਗਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਰਖੇ ਆਪਿ ॥੩॥
Thathee Vaao N Lagee Sathigur Rakhae Aap ||3||
तती वाउ न लगई सतिगुरि रखे आपि ॥३॥
The hot winds do not even touch those who are protected by the True Guru. ||3||
ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੁ ਦਯੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਚਾ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
Gur Naaraaein Dhay Gur Gur Sachaa Sirajanehaar ||
गुरु नाराइणु दयु गुरु गुरु सचा सिरजणहारु ॥
The Guru is the All-pervading Lord, the Guru is the Merciful Master; the Guru is the True Creator Lord.
ਗੁਰਿ ਤੁਠੈ ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੭੦॥
Gur Thuthai Sabh Kishh Paaeiaa Jan Naanak Sadh Balihaar ||4||2||170||
गुरि तुठै सभ किछु पाइआ जन नानक सद बलिहार ॥४॥२॥१७०॥
When the Guru was totally satisfied, I obtained everything. Servant Nanak is forever a sacrifice to Him. ||4||2||170||

सूके हरे कीए खिन माहे ॥
The dried branches are made green again in an instant.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸੰਚਿ ਜੀਵਾਏ ॥੧॥

अम्रित द्रिसटि संचि जीवाए ॥१॥
His Ambrosial Glance irrigates and revives them. ||1||
ਕਾਟੇ ਕਸਟ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
Kaattae Kasatt Poorae Guradhaev ||
काटे कसट पूरे गुरदेव ॥
The Perfect Divine Guru has removed my sorrow.
ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਦੀਨੀ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Saevak Ko Dheenee Apunee Saev ||1|| Rehaao ||
सेवक कउ दीनी अपुनी सेव ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
He blesses His servant with His service. ||1||Pause||
ਮਿਟਿ ਗਈ ਚਿੰਤ ਪੁਨੀ ਮਨ ਆਸਾ ॥
Mitt Gee Chinth Punee Man Aasaa ||
मिटि गई चिंत पुनी मन आसा ॥
Anxiety is removed, and the desires of the mind are fulfilled,
ਕਰੀ ਦਇਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਗੁਣਤਾਸਾ ॥੨॥
Karee Dhaeiaa Sathigur Gunathaasaa ||2||
करी दइआ सतिगुरि गुणतासा ॥२॥
When the True Guru, the Treasure of Excellence, shows His Kindness. ||2||
ਦੁਖ ਨਾਠੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਇ ਸਮਾਏ ॥
Dhukh Naathae Sukh Aae Samaaeae ||
दुख नाठे सुख आइ समाए ॥
Pain is driven far away, and peace comes in its place;
ਢੀਲ ਨ ਪਰੀ ਜਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਫੁਰਮਾਏ ॥੩॥
Dteel N Paree Jaa Gur Furamaaeae ||3||
ढील न परी जा गुरि फुरमाए ॥३॥
There is no delay, when the Guru gives the Order. ||3||
ਇਛ ਪੁਨੀ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲੇ ॥
Eishh Punee Poorae Gur Milae ||
इछ पुनी पूरे गुर मिले ॥
Desires are fulfilled, when one meets the True Guru;
ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਸੁਫਲ ਫਲੇ ॥੪॥੫੮॥੧੨੭॥
Naanak Thae Jan Sufal Falae ||4||58||127||
नानक ते जन सुफल फले ॥४॥५८॥१२७॥
O Nanak, His humble servant is fruitful and prosperous. ||4||58||127||

The fever has departed; God has showered us with peace and tranquility.
ਸੀਤਲ ਭਏ ਕੀਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਤਿ ॥੧॥
Seethal Bheae Keenee Prabh Dhaath ||1||
सीतल भए कीनी प्रभ दाति ॥१॥
A cooling peace prevails; God has granted this gift. ||1||
