ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਮੇਰੀ ਭੈਨਾ ॥
ਏਕੋ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਬੋਲਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬੈਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਮਹਾ ਬੈਰਾਗੁ ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੁ ॥੨॥
ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਭਵਹਿ ਬਿਖੁ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
ਭਾਗਹੀਨ ਨਹੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਪੀਆਇਆ ॥
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੩॥੫੫॥

Aasaa, Fourth Mehl:
Constantly listening to the Ambrosial Gurbani in the heart, it becomes pleasing to the mind.
Through Gurbani, the Incomprehensible Lord is comprehended. ||1||
As Gurmukh, listen to the Naam, the Name of the Lord, O my sisters.
The One Lord is pervading and permeating deep within the heart; with your mouth, recite the Ambrosial Hymns of the Guru. ||1||Pause||
My mind and body are filled with divine love, and great sadness.
By great good fortune, I have obtained the True Guru, the Primal Being. ||2||
In the love of duality, the mortals wander through poisonous Maya.
The unfortunate ones do not meet the True Guru. ||3||
The Lord Himself inspires us to drink in the Lord's Ambrosial Elixir.
Through the Perfect Guru, O Nanak, the Lord is obtained. ||4||3||55||

nullnull(ਹੇ ਭੈਣੋ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥nullਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਭੈਣੋ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਰੋ ਜੋ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਭੈਣੋ!) ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਕਰੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥null(ਹੇ ਭੈਣੋ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ) ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਬੜੀ ਲਗਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੨॥null(ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਭੈਣੋ!) ਬਦ-ਨਸੀਬ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥nullਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਪਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ॥੪॥੩॥੫੫॥
