ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਧਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾਂ ਉਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਾਮੁ ॥੧॥
ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਅਵਰੁ ਸਭੁ ਥੋਰਾ ॥
ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਮਨੁ ਮੋਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਭਗਤਿ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਲਾਲ ॥
ਗਾਵਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਕਮਾਵਤ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੨॥
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੋ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਤੂਠੈ ਕੀਨੋ ਦਾਨੁ ॥੩॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਖਿਆ ਦੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ॥੪॥੨੩॥

Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is my soul, my life, my wealth.
Here and hereafter, it is with me, to help me. ||1||
Without the Lord's Name, everything else is useless.
My mind is satisfied and satiated by the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan. ||1||Pause||
Gurbani is the jewel, the treasure of devotion.
Singing, hearing and acting upon it, one is enraptured. ||2||
My mind is attached to the Lord's Lotus Feet.
The True Guru, in His Pleasure, has given this gift. ||3||
Unto Nanak, the Guru has revealed these instructions:
Recognize the Imperishable Lord God in each and every heart. ||4||23||

nullnull(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿੰਦ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਹੀ ਅਸਲ) ਧਨ ਹੈ, (ਇਹ ਧਨ) ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਤੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ (ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥nullਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰਾ (ਧਨ ਪਦਾਰਥ) ਘਾਟੇਵੰਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਧਨ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥null(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਲਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹਨ। (ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ) ਗਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਸੁਣਦਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਕਮਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਖਿੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥null(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਗਿਆ ॥੩॥nullਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਬਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੇਕ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਵੱਸਦਾ) ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ॥੪॥੨੩॥
