Jaisa Jagata Mo Karaa Pasaaraa ॥

Now I describe the incarnation Ram how he exhibited his performance in the world.

ਬਹੁਤੁ ਕਾਲ ਬੀਤਤ ਭਯੋ ਜਬੈ ॥

Bahutu Kaal Beetta Bhayo Jabai ॥

ਅਸੁਰਨ ਬੰਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਭਯੋ ਤਬੈ ॥੧॥

Asurn Baansa Pargatta Bhayo Tabai ॥1॥

After a long time the family of demons raised its head again.1.

ਅਸੁਰ ਲਗੇ ਬਹੁ ਕਰੈ ਬਿਖਾਧਾ ॥

Asur Lage Bahu Kari Bikhaadhaa ॥

ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਨ ਤਿਨੈ ਤਨਕ ਮੈ ਸਾਧਾ ॥

Kinhooaan Na Tini Tanka Mai Saadhaa ॥

The demons began to perform vicious actions and no one could chastise them.

ਸਕਲ ਦੇਵ ਇਕਠੇ ਤਬ ਭਏ ॥

Sakala Dev Eikatthe Taba Bhaee ॥

ਛੀਰ ਸਮੁੰਦ੍ਰ ਜਹ ਥੋ ਤਿਹ ਗਏ ॥੨॥

Chheera Samuaandar Jaha Tho Tih Gaee ॥2॥

The all the gods assembled and went to the milk-ocean.2.

ਬਹੁ ਚਿਰ ਬਸਤ ਭਏ ਤਿਹ ਠਾਮਾ ॥

Bahu Chri Basata Bhaee Tih Tthaamaa ॥

ਬਿਸਨ ਸਹਿਤ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਜਿਹ ਨਾਮਾ ॥

Bisan Sahita Barhamaa Jih Naamaa ॥

There they stayed foe a long time with Vishnu and Brahma.

ਬਾਰ ਬਾਰ ਹੀ ਦੁਖਤ ਪੁਕਾਰਤ ॥

Baara Baara Hee Dukhta Pukaarata ॥

ਕਾਨ ਪਰੀ ਕਲ ਕੇ ਧੁਨਿ ਆਰਤ ॥੩॥

Kaan Paree Kala Ke Dhuni Aarata ॥3॥

They cried out in anguish many times and ultimately their consternation was heard by the Lord.3.

ਮ੍ਰਿਦ ਹਾਸ ਕਰੀ ਕਰ ਕਾਲ ਧੁਨੰ ॥

Mrida Haasa Karee Kar Kaal Dhunaan ॥

When the Immanent Lord saw the air-vehicle of Vishnu and other gods, He raised a sound and smiled and addressed Vishnu-thus :

ਅਵਤਾਰ ਧਰੋ ਰਘੁਨਾਥ ਹਰੰ ॥

Avataara Dharo Raghunaatha Haraan ॥

ਚਿਰ ਰਾਜ ਕਰੋ ਸੁਖ ਸੋ ਅਵਧੰ ॥੪॥

Chri Raaja Karo Sukh So Avadhaan ॥4॥

“Manifest yourself as Raghunath (Ram) and rule over Oudh for a long time.”4.

ਬਿਸਨੇਸ ਧੁਣੰ ਸੁਣ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਮੁਖੰ ॥

Bisanesa Dhunaan Suna Barhama Mukhaan ॥

ਅਬ ਸੁੱਧ ਚਲੀ ਰਘੁਬੰਸ ਕਥੰ ॥

Aba Su`dha Chalee Raghubaansa Kathaan ॥

Vishnu heard this command from the mouth of the Lord (and did as ordered). Now begins the story of Raghu clan.

ਜੁ ਪੈ ਛੋਰ ਕਥਾ ਕਵਿ ਯਾਹ ਰਢੈ ॥
