ਕੋਊ ਜਾਗੈ ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ॥੧॥
ਮਹਾ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਮਗਨ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ॥
ਕੋਊ ਤਿਆਗੈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ॥੨॥
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਆਨੂਪ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤ ਮੰਤ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
The whole world is asleep in doubt; it is blinded by worldly entanglements.
How rare is that humble servant of the Lord who is awake and aware. ||1||
The mortal is intoxicated with the great enticement of Maya, which is dearer to him than life.
How rare is the one who renounces it. ||2||
The Lord's Lotus Feet are incomparably beautiful; so is the Mantra of the Saint.
How rare is that holy person who is attached to them. ||3||
O Nanak, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the love of divine knowledge is awakened;
The Lord's Mercy is bestowed upon those who are blessed with such good destiny. ||4||1||39||

ਰਾਗ ਆਸਾ, ਘਰ ੫ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ।ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।null(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਧੰਧਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਈ ਸਾਰੀ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਸੁੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਗਤ (ਇਸ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਜਾਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥null(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਲੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਮਸਤ ਪਈ ਹੈ, (ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ) ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਜਿੰਦ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਭੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨੂੰ) ਛੱਡਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥null(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ, ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ, ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥nullਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਕੋਈ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ) ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ (ਰੰਗੀਜ ਕੇ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਜਾਗਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੩੯॥
