ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਲੁ ਖੋਇ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਦ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥
ਸੁਨਹੁ ਮੀਤ ਐਸਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥
ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਘਟ ਘਟ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਭਏ ਸਗਲ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਾਮ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਦ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਭ ਮਿਟੀ ਹੈ ਚਿੰਤ ॥੨॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਇਹੁ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਤਰੈ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਜਮ ਤੇ ਨਹੀ ਡਰੈ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਗਲ ਉਧਾਰੈ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਚਲੈ ਸੰਗਾਰੈ ॥੩॥
ਆਪਹੁ ਕੋਈ ਮਿਲੈ ਨ ਭੂਲੈ ॥
ਜਿਸੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਘੂਲੈ ॥
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੈ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ॥

Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:
In the Love of God, eternal peace is obtained.
In the Love of God, one is not touched by pain.
In the Love of God, the filth of ego is washed away.
In the Love of God, one becomes forever immaculate. ||1||
Listen, O friend: show such love and affection to God,
The Support of the soul, the breath of life, of each and every heart. ||1||Pause||
In the Love of God, all treasures are obtained.
In the Love of God, the Immaculate Naam fills the heart.
In the Love of God, one is eternally embellished.
In the Love of God, all anxiety is ended. ||2||
In the Love of God, one crosses over this terrible world-ocean.
In the Love of God, one does not fear death.
In the Love of God, all are saved.
The Love of God shall go along with you. ||3||
By himself, no one is united, and no one goes astray.
One who is blessed by God's Mercy, joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to You.
O God, You are the Support and the Strength of the Saints. ||4||34||85||

(ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ (ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, (ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਉਮੈ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸਦਾ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥nullਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਸੁਣੋ, (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਪਿਆਰ ਐਸੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥nullnullnullਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ (ਆ ਵੱਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ, ਮਾਨੋ) ਸਾਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ (ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ) ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ) ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ (ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ), (ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਸਦਾ ਸੋਭਾ-ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥nullnullnullਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ (ਆ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ) ਉਹ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜਮ-ਦੂਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭੈ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਂਦਾ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ। ਉਹ ਆਪ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ) ਹੋਰ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ (ਹੀ ਇਕ ਐਸੀ ਰਾਸ-ਪੂੰਜੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ) ਸਦਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਥ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥nullnullnull(ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਜੋੜਨੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ) ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਦਮ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਹ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਕੋਈ (ਵਿਛੁੜ ਕੇ) ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ, ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਣਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ)। ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਾਣ-ਬਲ ਹੈਂ ॥੪॥੩੪॥੮੫॥
