ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੧॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਇ ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
ਸਰਬ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ਸਚਾ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਗਿਆਨ ਜੋਗੁ ॥
ਤਿਸਹਿ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਮਨਾ ਬਿਨਾਸੈ ਸਗਲ ਰੋਗੁ ॥੨॥
ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਅਗਨਿ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਤਪਤਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਘਣਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਧੂਰਾ ॥
ਕਾਰਜ ਸਗਲੇ ਸਿਧਿ ਭਏ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੧੧੨॥

Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:
Remembering Him, suffering is removed, and celestial peace is obtained.
Night and day, with your palms pressed together, meditate on the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||
He alone is Nanak's God, unto whom all beings belong.
He is totally pervading everywhere, the Truest of the True. ||1||Pause||
Inwardly and outwardly, He is my companion and my helper; He is the One to be realized.
Adoring Him, my mind is cured of all its ailments. ||2||
The Savior Lord is infinite; He saves us from the fire of the womb.
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is soothing and cool; remembering it in meditation, the inner fire is quenched. ||3||
Peace, poise, and immense bliss, O Nanak, are obtained, when one becomes the dust of the feet of the humble servants of the Lord.
All of one's affairs are perfectly resolved, meeting with the Perfect Guru. ||4||10||112||

nullnull(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥null(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਹ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥nullਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਆਰਾਧਨਾ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ ਜੋ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਪਾਉਣੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ (ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ) ਹਰੇਕ ਰੋਗ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥nullਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟ ਦੀ) ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ (ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਦੀ) ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਠੰਢ ਪਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੀ) ਤਪਸ਼ ਬੁੱਝ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥nullਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਖ-ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ-ਕਾਜਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੧੧੨॥
