ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਣੀਐ ॥
ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣੀਐ ॥੧॥
ਆਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਾਹ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਕਹਾਣੀਆ ॥
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਿਮਰਹ ਨਾਮੁ ਤਜਿ ਲਾਜ ਲੋਕਾਣੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਅਨਦੁ ਘਣਾ ॥
ਮਿਥਿਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਝੂਠਾ ਵਿਣਸਣਾ ॥੨॥
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਸੰਗਿ ਨੇਹੁ ਕਿਨੈ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਮੁਖੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੩॥
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖ ਕਾਲ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਮਿਟਿ ਜਾਵਈ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਸੋਇ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਈ ॥੪॥੧੧॥੧੧੩॥

Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:
The Lord of the Universe is the treasure of excellence; He is known only to the Gurmukh.
When He shows His Mercy and Kindness, we revel in the Lord's Love. ||1||
Come, O Saints - let us join together and speak the Sermon of the Lord.
Night and day, meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and ignore the criticism of others. ||1||Pause||
I live by chanting and meditating on the Naam, and so I obtain immense bliss.
Attachment to the world is useless and vain; it is false, and perishes in the end. ||2||
How rare are those who embrace love for the Lord's Lotus Feet.
Blessed and beautiful is that mouth, which meditates on the Lord. ||3||
The pains of birth, death and reincarnation are erased by meditating on the Lord.
That alone is Nanak's joy, which is pleasing to God. ||4||11||113||

nullnull(ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋਵੇ ਤ੍ਰੁੱਠ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ (-ਆਨੰਦ) ਮਾਣਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥nullਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਆਓ, ਅਸੀਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਬੈਠੀਏ ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰੀਏ, ਲੋਕ-ਲਾਜ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਰਹੀਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥null(ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ!) ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬੜਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਸੰਸਾਰ (ਦਾ ਮੋਹ) ਵਿਅਰਥ ਮੋਹ ਹੈ, ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤਾਂ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸੁਖ-ਆਨੰਦ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮਿਲੇ?) ॥੨॥null(ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ!) ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ (ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ) ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਕੋਮਲ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ (ਇਹ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥null(ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ (ਦੇ ਗੇੜ) ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ!) ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਹੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਜੋ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ (ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੪॥੧੧॥੧੧੩॥
