ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ਰਾਗੁ ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ਘਰੁ ੩ ॥
ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਰਾਖੈ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਰਖਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
ਸੋ ਭਗਤੁ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
ਹਉਮੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਇਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਇਆ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸਾਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
ਸਚੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਖਿ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥
ਭਗਤਾ ਕੀ ਚਾਲ ਸਚੀ ਅਤਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਚਾ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਦਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਜਿਨੀ ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਾ ਕੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਪਤਿ ਹੈ ਭਗਤ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਵਹਿ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਣ ਅਵਗਣ ਪਛਾਣੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
ਗੁਣ ਅਉਗਣ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ਭੈ ਭਗਤਿ ਮੀਠੀ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਘਰ ਹੀ ਮਹਿ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥
ਭਗਤੀ ਰਾਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਵੇਖਹਿ ਸਦਾ ਨਾਲੇ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇ ਭਗਤ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਦਰਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲੇ ॥੨॥
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਣੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਗਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਰੋਗਿ ਵਿਆਪੇ ਮਰਿ ਜਨਮਹਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
ਮਰਿ ਜਨਮਹਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਪਰਜ ਵਿਗੋਈ ਵਿਣੁ ਗੁਰ ਤਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥
ਭਗਤਿ ਵਿਹੂਣਾ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਭਰਮਿਆ ਅੰਤਿ ਗਇਆ ਪਛੁਤਾਨਿਆ ॥
ਕੋਟਿ ਮਧੇ ਕਿਨੈ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਈ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਪਤਿ ਖੋਈ ॥੩॥
ਭਗਤਾ ਕੈ ਘਰਿ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਦਾ ਵਖਾਣੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
ਭਗਤਿ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਆਪੇ ਦੀਆ ਕਾਲੁ ਕੰਟਕੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
ਕਾਲੁ ਕੰਟਕੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਸਚੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
ਸਦਾ ਅਖੁਟੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਨਿਖੁਟੈ ਹਰਿ ਦੀਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇਆ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਊਚੇ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਊਚੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਇਆ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੧॥੨॥

The Dear Lord protects His humble devotees; throughout the ages, He has protected them.
Those devotees who become Gurmukh burn away their ego, through the Word of the Shabad.
Those who burn away their ego through the Shabad, become pleasing to my Lord; their speech becomes True.
They perform the Lord's true devotional service, day and night, as the Guru has instructed them.
The devotees' lifestyle is true, and absolutely pure; the True Name is pleasing to their minds.
O Nanak, the those devotees, who practice Truth, and only Truth, look beauteous in the Court of the True Lord. ||1||
The Lord is the social class and honor of His devotees; the Lord's devotees merge in the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
They worship the Lord in devotion, and eradicate self-conceit from within themselves; they understand merits and demerits.
They understand merits and demerits, and chant the Lord's Name; devotional worship is sweet to them.
Night and day, they perform devotional worship, day and night, and in the home of the self, they remain detached.
Imbued with devotion, their minds remain forever immaculate and pure; they see their Dear Lord always with them.
O Nanak, those devotees are True in the Court of the Lord; night and day, they dwell upon the Naam. ||2||
The self-willed manmukhs practice devotional rituals without the True Guru, but without the True Guru, there is no devotion.
They are afflicted with the diseases of egotism and Maya, and they suffer the pains of death and rebirth.
The world suffers the pains of death and rebirth, and through the love of duality, it is ruined; without the Guru, the essence of reality is not known.
Without devotional worship, everyone in the world is deluded and confused, and in the end, they depart with regrets.
Among millions, there is scarcely one who realizes the Name of the True Lord.
O Nanak, through the Naam, greatness is obtained; in the love of duality, all honor is lost. ||3||
In the home of the devotees, is the joy of true marriage; they chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord forever.
He Himself blesses them with the treasure of devotion; conquering the thorny pain of death, they merge in the Lord.
Conquering the thorny pain of death, they merge in the Lord; they are pleasing to the Lord's Mind,and they obtain the true treasure of the Naam.
This treasure is inexhaustible; it will never be exhausted. The Lord automatically blesses them with it.
The humble servants of the Lord are exalted and elevated, forever on high; they are adorned with the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
O Nanak, He Himself forgives them, and merges them with Himself; throughout the ages, they are glorified. ||4||1||2||

ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।ਰਾਗ ਸੂਹੀ, ਘਰ ੩ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ।nullnullnullnullnullਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ (ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ) ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਰਾਹ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਭਗਤ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹਉਮੈ ਸਾੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸਦਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਚਾਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਜੁਗਤੀ ਸਦਾ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੜੀ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਨਾਮ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਸੋਭਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਜਪਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥nullnullnullnullnullਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਲਈ (ਉੱਚੀ) ਜਾਤਿ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਹੈ। ਭਗਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਭਗਤ (ਸਦਾ) ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ (ਭੀ) ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਤੇ ਅਉਗਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਅਉਗਣ ਹੈ)। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਣ ਤੇ ਅਉਗਣ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਡਰ-ਅਦਬ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ (ਦੇ ਰੰਗ) ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਭਗਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਰਖ਼ਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥nullnullnullnullnullਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਆਪਣੇ ਵਲੋਂ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਭਗਤੀ ਹੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ। ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਰੋਗ ਵਿਚ, ਫਸੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਚੰਬੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ। ਭਗਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਹੀ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਆਖ਼ਰ ਹੱਥ ਮਲਦਾ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਤੋਂ) ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਮਝੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਹੀ (ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਗਵਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥nullnullnullnullnullਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਸਦਾ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਆਹਰ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ) ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ-ਮੁਕਾ ਕੇ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ) ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਾ ਕੇ ਭਗਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਭਗਤ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਅਮੁੱਕ ਹੈ, ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। (ਇਸ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ) ਭਗਤ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਉੱਚੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੰਡਲ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਸੋਭਾ ਖੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪॥੧॥੨॥
