Jaa Ko Lona Khiyai Taa Ko Chhori Kabahooaan Na Jaiyai Jaa Ko Lona Khiyai Taa Ko Aage Havai Kai Joojhiyai ॥

‘Who-so-ever’s salt you eat, never abandon him, ‘Who-so-ever’s salt you eat, you should, even, sacrifice your life. ‘Who-so-ever’s salt you eat, never cheat him.

ਚੋਰੀ ਨ ਕਮੈਯੈ ਆਪੁ ਦੇਵੈ ਸੋ ਭੀ ਬਾਟਿ ਖੈਯੈ ਝੂਠ ਨ ਬਨੈਯੈ ਕਛੂ ਲੈਬੇ ਕੌ ਨ ਰੂਝਿਯੈ ॥

Choree Na Kamaiyai Aapu Devai So Bhee Baatti Khiyai Jhoottha Na Baniyai Kachhoo Laibe Kou Na Roojhiyai ॥

‘Never tell lies, and to achieve something, one should not become greedy.

ਰੋਸ ਨ ਬਢੈਯੈ ਬੁਰੀ ਭਾਖੈ ਸੋ ਭੀ ਮਾਨਿ ਲੈਯੈ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਕਮੈਯੈ ਨਾਥ ਮੋਰੀ ਬਾਤ ਬੂਝਿਯੈ ॥੭॥

Rosa Na Badhaiyai Buree Bhaakhi So Bhee Maani Laiyai Chaakaree Kamaiyai Naatha Moree Baata Boojhiyai ॥7॥

Never get angry, even if master rebukes, one should accept. ‘Listen, my beloved, you must perform Your service humbtly.’(7)

ਕਹ ਸ੍ਯਾਨੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਗਯੋ ਭੇਦ ਪਛਾਨ੍ਯੋ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੮॥

Kaha Saiaanee Triya Griha Gayo Bheda Pachhaanio Naahi ॥8॥

And without discerning the trickery, he went away from the house.(8)(1)
