Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:

ਠਾਢਿ ਪਾਈ ਕਰਤਾਰੇ ॥

Thadt Paee Karatharae ||

The Creator has brought utter peace to my home;

ਤਾਪੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਗਇਆ ਪਰਵਾਰੇ ॥

Thap Shhodd Gaeia Paravarae ||

The fever has left my family.

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹੈ ਰਾਖੀ ॥

Gur Poorai Hai Rakhee ||

The Perfect Guru has saved us.

ਸਰਣਿ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ ਤਾਕੀ ॥੧॥

Saran Sachae Kee Thakee ||1||

I sought the Sanctuary of the True Lord. ||1||

ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਆਪਿ ਹੋਆ ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ॥

Paramaesar Ap Hoa Rakhavala ||

The Transcendent Lord Himself has become my Protector.

ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਉਪਜੇ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਾਲਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Santh Sehaj Sukh Khin Mehi Oupajae Man Hoa Sadha Sukhala || Rehao ||

Tranquility, intuitive peace and poise welled up in an instant, and my mind was comforted forever. ||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਦਾਰੂ ॥

Har Har Nam Dheeou Dharoo ||

The Lord, Har, Har, gave me the medicine of His Name,

ਤਿਨਿ ਸਗਲਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਬਿਦਾਰੂ ॥

Thin Sagala Rog Bidharoo ||

Which has cured all disease.

ਅਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥

Apanee Kirapa Dhharee ||

He extended His Mercy to me,

ਤਿਨਿ ਸਗਲੀ ਬਾਤ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੨॥

Thin Sagalee Bath Savaree ||2||

And resolved all these affairs. ||2||

ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਨਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਸਮਾਰਿਆ ॥

Prabh Apana Biradh Samaria ||

God confirmed His loving nature;

ਹਮਰਾ ਗੁਣੁ ਅਵਗੁਣੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥

Hamara Gun Avagun N Beecharia ||

He did not take my merits or demerits into account.

ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਭਇਓ ਸਾਖੀ ॥

Gur Ka Sabadh Bhaeiou Sakhee ||

The Word of the Guru's Shabad has become manifest,

ਤਿਨਿ ਸਗਲੀ ਲਾਜ ਰਾਖੀ ॥੩॥

Thin Sagalee Laj Rakhee ||3||

And through it, my honor was totally preserved. ||3||

ਬੋਲਾਇਆ ਬੋਲੀ ਤੇਰਾ ॥

Bolaeia Bolee Thaera ||

I speak as You cause me to speak;

ਤੂ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੇਰਾ ॥

Thoo Sahib Gunee Gehaera ||

O Lord and Master, You are the ocean of excellence.

ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਖੀ ॥

Jap Naanak Nam Sach Sakhee ||

Nanak chants the Naam, the Name of the Lord, according to the Teachings of Truth.

ਅਪੁਨੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਰਾਖੀ ॥੪॥੬॥੫੬॥
