ਤ੍ਰੇਤਾ ਬਿਤੀਤ ਜੁਗ ਦੁਆਪੁਰਾਨ ॥

Taretaa Biteet Juga Duaapuraan ॥

ਬਹੁ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਦੇਖ ਖੇਲੇ ਖਿਲਾਨ ॥

Bahu Bhaanti Dekh Khele Khilaan ॥

Treat age passed and Dwapar age came, when Krishna manifested himself and performed various kinds of sports, then Vyas was born

ਜਬ ਭਯੋ ਆਨਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਵਤਾਰ ॥

Jaba Bhayo Aani Krisanaavataara ॥

ਤਬ ਭਏ ਬ੍ਯਾਸ ਮੁਖ ਆਨਿ ਚਾਰ ॥੫॥

Taba Bhaee Baiaasa Mukh Aani Chaara ॥5॥

He had a charming face.5.

ਜੇ ਜੇ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੀਅ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਦੇਵ ॥

Je Je Charitar Keea Krisan Dev ॥

ਤੇ ਤੇ ਭਨੇ ਸੁ ਸਾਰਦਾ ਤੇਵ ॥

Te Te Bhane Su Saaradaa Teva ॥

Aba Kaho Tauna Saanchhepa Tthaani ॥

The manner in which he propagated his writings, in the same manner, I relate the same here thoughtfully

ਕਹੋ ਜੈਸ ਕਾਬ੍ਯ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਬ੍ਯਾਸ ॥

Kaho Jaisa Kaabai Kahiyo Baiaasa ॥

ਤਉਨੇ ਕਥਾਨ ਕਥੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਸ ॥੭॥

Kaha Lage Taasi Kijai Bichaaru ॥

ਸੁਣਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਬੈਣ ਸੰਛੇਪ ਯਾਰ ॥੮॥
