ਨ ਡਰੋ ਅਰਿ ਸੋ ਜਬ ਜਾਇ ਲਰੋ ਨਿਸਚੈ ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਜੀਤ ਕਰੋ ॥

Na Daro Ari So Jaba Jaaei Laro Nisachai Kari Apunee Jeet Karo ॥

I may not fear the enemy, when I go to fight and assuredly I may become victorious.

ਅਰੁ ਸਿਖ ਹੌ ਆਪਨੇ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਕੋ ਇਹ ਲਾਲਚ ਹਉ ਗੁਨ ਤਉ ਉਚਰੋ ॥

Aru Sikh Hou Aapane Hee Man Ko Eih Laalacha Hau Guna Tau Aucharo ॥

And I may give this instruction to my mind and have this tempotration that I may ever utter Thy Praises.

ਜਬ ਆਵ ਕੀ ਅਉਧ ਨਿਦਾਨ ਬਨੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਤਬ ਜੂਝ ਮਰੋ ॥੨੩੧॥

Jaba Aava Kee Aaudha Nidaan Bani Ati Hee Ran Mai Taba Joojha Maro ॥231॥

When the end of my life comes, then I may die fighting in the battlefield.231.

ਚੰਡਿ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਵਿਤਨ ਮੈ ਬਰਨਿਓ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਰਸ ਰੁਦ੍ਰਮਈ ਹੈ ॥

Chaandi Charitar Kavitan Mai Barniao Sabha Hee Rasa Rudarmaeee Hai ॥

I have narrated this Chandi Charitra in poetry, which is all full of Rudra Rasa (sentiment of ragge).

ਏਕ ਤੇ ਏਕ ਰਸਾਲ ਭਇਓ ਨਖ ਤੇ ਸਿਖ ਲਉ ਉਪਮਾ ਸੁ ਨਈ ਹੈ ॥

Eeka Te Eeka Rasaala Bhaeiao Nakh Te Sikh Lau Aupamaa Su Naeee Hai ॥

The stanzas one and all, are beautifully composed, which contain new sillies from beginning to end.

ਕਉਤਕ ਹੇਤੁ ਕਰੀ ਕਵਿ ਨੇ ਸਤਿਸਯ ਕੀ ਕਥਾ ਇਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਭਈ ਹੈ ॥

Kautaka Hetu Karee Kavi Ne Satisaya Kee Kathaa Eih Pooree Bhaeee Hai ॥

The poet hath composed it for the pleasure of his mind, and the discourse of seven hundred sholokas is completed here.

ਜਾਹਿ ਨਮਿਤ ਪੜੈ ਸੁਨਿ ਹੈ ਨਰ ਸੋ ਨਿਸਚੈ ਕਰਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਦਈ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੨॥

Jaahi Namita Parhai Suni Hai Nar So Nisachai Kari Taahi Daeee Hai ॥232॥

For whatever purpose a person ready it or listens to it, the hgoddess will assuredly grant him that.232.
